Join us this Saturday for the August repair Café 12-3pm

If you are at a loose end and have been meaning to repair something for a while, come to FIELD this Saturday 27th August between 12-3pm

Some volunteers are away on holiday, however their are people to help with electrical and electronic goods as well as sewing, darning and gluing.

 

 

A quiet but productive day at the July Repair Café on a very rainy day…

Tom of Holland was able to join us and helped Jonathan visibly mend his jumper with a swiss darn…

Nick of Old Tree Café brought in his bike. The front wheel was wobbly and the breaks needed realigning. Dan was able to solve both problems.

Amy from Old Tree Café brought in her bike too. Dan repaired the rear tire which was as flat as a pancake and tuned the breaks and gears.

Louise brought in an anglepoise lamp. The lamp had come away from the frame…

So Michael fashioned a new bracket out of an old key and fixed it back together!

Oliver deduced that the capacitor on a lawn mower was not working by using a multimeter.

A new capacitor was found on line later to be installed by the owner of the lawnmower.

Mattia and Oliver fixed Sam’s neglected old lamps that had been sitting in a cupboard for several years.

Alan fixed the fan of an old laptop by extracting an accumulation of dust!

Tom of Old Tree Café brought in a range of garments to repair and was shown the art of darning and sewing on buttons by Tom of Holland.
