At Field Brighton:
Before starting repairs at Field Brighton, the team enjoyed a meal together provided by The Old Tree Café. The food was incredible!

Dan fixed a couple of bikes, one with a wobbly wheel and the other with malfunctioning breaks. He showed Emma how to release and adjust the breaks on her bike.

Mattia fixed the transformer on Alexis’ electric toy car

A beautiful old folding chair, broken and sitting by the fridge for a year was brought back to life by Ali and Alexis. Slats of the seat and back had broken.

Alexis and his Mum and Dad went to the Wood Store around the corner. They sourced the perfect strip of wood to make the new slates from.

At the Bevy in the morning:
Alan took apart and examined an old record player brought in by Ally. To get it working he cleaned it up and changed the fuse.

Ali created an improvised lathe by upturning an electric drill and placing it in a vice.

With the lathe he made a new spike for a mace from Poland!

Alan fixed a strimmer by undoing a seized up screw that held in the strimmer wire. He placed it in a vice to loosen it.

Ali fixed a bedside table, the leg had snapped when jumped on by children. He drilled out the old dowel and replaced it.

These keep us going for the day… homemade energy balls by the Old Tree Café.
